Windshield Wipers not working. Need help fast!

Ok, so I'm going down the highway in a snow storm when my windshield wipers decide to stop working. I pulled over and tried starting the vehicle over again and adjusting the wiper speed and such to no avail. WTF! I made it home going 50k on the highway but we just got a good 10 - 12 inches tonight and I'm betting that I'll need them to get to work tomorrow! Any suggestions why they would fail? I just bought this vehicle and have no idea where all the fuse boxes are, can you guys point me in the right direction! This a common issues?

Thank god! Easy fix, thanks bud.... Kinda hard wiping the snow with your hand going down the highway! I'll post some pics soon...

Nah... what you do is unhook the wipers from their respective motors; tie a string between the wiper arms; then run a string off the left wiper arm, around and in through the passenger door window and straight across to and out the driver's door window and tie it off on the right hand wiper arm and presto! A working wiper system! All you need to do is work the steering wheel with your right hand and pull your string back and forth with your left hand and the world is beautiful again!
