Wheels and tires

Got 5 15x6 wheels for a deli. I believe they have been painted white... or an almsot white color, 215/80/15 tires I believe. One is on its way out but the others may have some life, I'd recommend new tires for them at some point in the near future though.

Nice looking wheels, can include the hub covers if you so please.

$200 for all 5 obo.

i dont know, don't they just look for DOT? I have 5 anyways, 1 has never been used but is a bit cracked, never actually looked if that one was dot though...

You could be right. They may just look for DOT. I will look into it.

You also need a percentage of tread left don't you? I am not sure on the amount... maybe 60% (thats a stab in the dark really)

honestly, i'm selling the rims. The one tire is pretty gone, the rest are ok, but i'm not a tire expert. I'm sure someone else could tell me that they are horrible and should never see pavement again, or that they have 70% left. I have no idea.

Tires DO NOT have to have DOT on the side walls but to pass inspection into BC they do need to have Max load rating and Max pressure rating . To meet DOT regulations the inspector has to be aware of what the tire is capable of to pass .

To pass OOP in BC you should have at least 50%.

In theory you are right, BUT in life THEY require DOT plus Max load pressure rating.

Does any one know the max width of a tire you can put on a stock suspention delica chamonix.I want to get some that some what stick out abit from the sides of the vehicle for swifter corners and a sweeter look.

One of my tires ripped apart the other day commin back from Princeton,all the layered seperated and when it did so the flappy rubber ripped apart my wheel wel.So that was pretty freeky,i deffinalty want to get a beafier tire just to make me think its not gonna happen again.I know that if I lift the vehicle I could get bigger more aggressive tires,but right now i can barley fit in underground parking lots and thats pretty much a MUST for skiing from creekside.

31s will fit with torsion bars maxxed and some cutting and bashing, standard width for those is 10.5 inches, and they will fit on a 7 inch rim (biggest width problem is sliding door clearance) You can use stock rims and get a 30 inch tire, usually 9.5 inches wide, basically, you can go as wide as you want as long as you dont impede the sliding door, unfortunately there is no set number for what wheel with what backspacing and what width tire will fit and what won't. I know my 15x7 wheels with 4.25 inch backspacing, and 31x15x10.5 mud terrains fit... barely. I think any 9.5 inch wide tires will be just fine.

Do you own your own grinder?Im also not sure on where i should go to get a good set of tires,does it really matter?I was going to go just to canadian tire because its close and easey,would this be a mistake?

http://www.tiretrends.ca/ or Costco. You won't find too many places that beat Costco $$$. Try and avoid cheaper brand tires if you can (ie: motomaster), they generally dont wear evenly and tend to more prone to separate.

get a good brand, where you go for that brand depends on how much you want to pay. Best price I found was discount tire co in surrey. They were great. Costco was very close in price but didnt have them in stock the day I wanted them... I suck at waiting for things. 30x9.5 BFG all terrains would be nice tires. haha.
