Post by Orionsbelt »

Hey folks...

Actually I asked this in my last post.

Is there anyone here in Calgary that I can take this truck to?

Thanks... O

Sorry folks...I should have just done a google on the subject.

That said does anyone know a good back yard guy..? I hate paying shop prices for smaller stuff. Plus that usually allows me to crank bolts and learn...

I would suggest going to a Mini-Meet and meeting some people. Lots of information at these kinds of events ~ and you might just meet a "backyard mechanic". This will typically happen in the Lower Mainland (of Vancouver).

There is the Calgary Tribe of Delica Canada, they often meet at Peters' Drive-In. Go to the board index and look for "Events - Alberta". See what's going down.

Here is a good but weird backyard guy. Hey doses most work up to but not including the diesel motor. if its diesel motor work he suggested a diesel shop. But any thing else he will not be scared to do. Andrews Mechanical 403 640 4345 ask for Barry.

Ok thanks NoDelie I'll give him a shout.

Engine seems fine but the glow plugs and dicking around with the cooling/heating system is what I require.

Cheers, Orion

Thanks for the offer... Did you find there was an ideal ignition timing for it - for efficiency and general good running?
