That looks quite similar to the Mazda bongo but a little more rounded. Is it AWD?

Looks like a nice addition to minivan's.

The Toyota Granvia is a large MPV produced by the Japanese automaker Toyota. Available with seven- and eight-seater configurations, it is based on the Hi Ace Powervan. Sales of the Granvia started in Japan in 1995.It has been sold in Europe and Australia and at different destinations in Asia including Hong Kong. The Granvia comes in petrol 2.7 litre straight 4, 3.4 V6 or diesel (3.0 L) and in two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

There is a growing second-hand population of these in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

They are also very popular in New Zealand imported as used vehicles from Japan. The 3 litre turbocharged diesel is especially favoured as its enormous torque but not so impressive power output are ideally suited to the hilly conditions in a country with an overall 100 km/h speed limit. Many of these vehicles are in commercial passenger service.

I heard legends about these vans.
Nice choice.

Bump this Up..

Added pics of the Van i just picked up..

and my Basic comparison to a Space gear.

Engine:
The 3.0l Turbo Diesel Toyota Motor, its way Torquer then the 2.8l.
It accelerations off the line faster and gets to speed quicker, its also smoother when at highway speeds. Winner Granvia

Transmission:
Shift points on the Granvia seems better placed for highway driving, however that doesn't effect lower speeds in the city as well. Lower RPMs when cruising at 120kms equal better gas milage. Winner Granvia

4x4:
The Space Gear has 4 high, 4 low, and rear. the Granvia has 4WD all the time, no turn it off. or else you by the rear wheel drive only version. Winner Space Gear

Exterior:
Granvia is boring on the outside compared to the "Spaceship" looking Space gear. You rarly see a Granvia with Running boards, and when they do have a push bar, its small and not aggressive at all. Winner Space Gear

Interior:
They are very similer.. however the Granvia rear seats slide way father then the space gear, the Gauge Cluster on the Granvia looks a lot like the lexus which i like, the rear controls for the heat are nice, and it has Audio Video Inputs stock built into the side panels.. (I forgot to take pics of those) also the power curtains are nice.. never seen that in a space gear as well. Winner Granvia

Overall i like the Granvia for Highway/driving around town, however it doesn't stand out like the space gear, and i wouldn't feel that comfortable taking it out 4x4.. as you cant change to 4 low if needed.. each have there own application.. thats my review

Looks very nice for a family wanting a diesel/AWD van.

The sliding bench looks like it opens up a lot of space back there.

Sadly all the nice interior is getting ripped out.. the van is going to be use by a close friend of mine for Delivery/stock room for his business, so everything is getting stripped down, and then aluminum racking/shelving is getting installed..

I will post some pics when we start setting that stuff up..
