Delica Height's
I was just at Ikea last week and noticed that with my newest box I can no longer fit into the underground parking. I measured the vehicle and found it to be 8'-4" tall. I know some people lift of lower theirs, some have baskets, low roof or high roof, etc, so...
How tall is your Delica? I've set up a poll to get a general idea. I think this could also be useful for people who are looking to buy a Delica and aren't sure if it will be able to fit in their parking garage.

Re: Delica Height's
That's funny I just measured mine the other day for my box.
I was also searching the forums but found no answer to distinguish a High roof Delica from a Low roof. Whats the difference?

Re: Delica Height's
The difference appears to be about 5" !? but I have absolutely no idea as that is a rough estimate from what I've seen. I think Delicat is the one who last mentioned reindexing his leaf springs to lower the vehicle so it would fit into underground parking. I'm sure jfarsang would have something to say on the subject as well.

Re: Delica Height's
Are we measuring to the top of the roof line, or total height with the goodies on top?

Re: Delica Height's
I'll measure turtle when I get home but he's a little 'different'
I know the majority of parkades are 6'8" or lower which would prevent most L300/L400's from entering and maneuvering safely.
The one thing to watch out for with parkades is often the yellow bar is a few inches lower than what's written on it and inside there are sometimes pipes, sprinklers, etc ... hanging from the ceiling that can scrape or damage your roof.
I've experienced all of the above in a stock/lifted low/high roof L300 and L400's.
I avoid all parkades.

Re: Delica Height's
With all the goodies that you would normally have up there. I'm interested in getting in and out of parkades and having your 'goodies' stripped from the roof wouldn't go over well.Super Exceeded wrote:Are we measuring to the top of the roof line, or total height with the goodies on top?

I know I keep mine out of them all-together now but when it was stock I could fit into quite a few.

I will vote after I get my final roof finished. Stock low roof on 31s I am around 6'11". I will vote when my roof modifications are finished.

Re: Delica Height's
The voting is set-up so you can change your vote in the future. I will have to chance mine in the near future when I get my lift put on and torsion bars re-indexed, and then again when I eventually get some large tires and rims.thedjjack wrote:I will vote after I get my final roof finished. Well we're just over 8 feet at the moment but I haven't put the rear rack on yet.

Re: Delica Height's
Mine sits at 8 feet to the top of the rack and approaching 9 feet with the jerry cans. Lifted L400 crystallite with 31's. Definitely not getting in any parkades (except P2 at the Calgary airport
)
Will add mine to the poll.

Re: Delica Height's
looks like if the "hitop" works I will be at 8' 3" or 4". That is on my 31" winter tires.
