I think you're refering to a $60 valve cover gasket. The head gasket is a wee bit more involved.

Head gasket - valve gasket - whatever.

If they're saying it's your radiator's fault, they should have been a bit more up-front with that assessment when they were changing the head gasket. Head gaskets don't blow out for no particular reason - there's usually something else going on.

I'm inclined to agree. It might be easier if we stuck to one thred for this particular issue though. This one seems a bit further along in the discussion...

hi, wow, 4 grand for replacing headgasket.
looks like your engine is Bmw or benz engine
its like you change the whole engine for that price
