Arrgg! A stupid person has turned the lock on the end of my sliding door. Now it wont close at all! And lock will not turn back. Does anyone know how to turn the lock back to open or do they have any instrutions to pull side panel off?

nope that was fine until my friend decided to turn the back tumbler to locked, now we need to start pulling the panels, but cant figure out how to get door handle off over panel??

Do you have the l400 full manuel? If you do , go to the side door section . You will see how it is assembled . If you don't you can download it free from the l400 site . Hope this help.

I had a similar problem of not closing the sliding door. I thought the electric mechanism at fault. Later, I sprayed some wd40 on the hinge mechanism and that fixed the problem.

Agreed with Mdrive... I also recently had the same issue. The latch mechanism on the back of the sliding door would not turn to hold the door shut. WD40 on the latch mechanism and turning it by hand a few times should do the trick. Turns clockwise as you are looking at the back of the door. If the mechanism turns to the latched position while you are messing with it, just pull on the door handle and it will unlatch again... should spring open.
