HELP! My headlamp has been smashed!

Post by shealy »

So this weekend I was driving and a rock from another car flew and smashed my left front headlamp of my 92 Delica L300! What a bummer....this part is like $350 new, which is a bit ridiculous, so I'm looking for a used one! Anyone have one of these, or know where I may be able to get one??? Thanks!

These guys charge outrageous prices but if you're good at bartering and point out that they haven't sold many parts off of these for a reason you may be able to talk them down...

One option is to buy the whole headlight assembly and bezel from a 1990 or older Delica, one that has the square twin headlights. The square lamps are found anywhere, and high quality versions have great light output.

Trust me they fit, but you do need the wiring connectors off the older Delica to splice on the new.

According to the link you have posted: Marty is selling them at $275 a pair. Sounds reasonable to me and far cheaper than $350 for one...

Still looking for a headlight. Anyone have any idea where I can get one for less than $275 as mentioned before? I don't need a set, just the left one!!! Thanks for your help!

You might contact poeple who are parting out (dismantling), I think I saw a post from Mardy recently. If you have the innards working fine, then maybe you just need the plastic lens cover, not sure if that is separate, if so then getting just one side from a parting out delica would be good. It's quite an easy thing to do once you have the panels off. Getting those off is the tricky bit, there are some difficult screws.
