Hey Folks,
I'm about to put back my front calipers (slider pins we're seized) and realized I don't have the torque specs for the slider pins and the bolt that attach the bracket itself to the hub!
Anyone has those number?

Mr. Pistachio,
My mechanic just finished replacing the two front calipers as I realised the driver side was seizing. He cracked loss the caliper bolts with a 2 foot wrench and proceed to finish the job after bleeded the brakes. He tightened the caliper bolts using the same tool and seems very tight and is good so far ( job just done on saturday ). I drove to Michell Island to get some parts for my honda this morning and everything seems normal. If the torque is a problem , I would want to know too.

So I called a ccautos to know if there was any torque specs and they told me: nah man, just put a lot of strengt in it! So normal wrench, no extension and a hole lot of face forcing action!!!
I've cleaned the guide pins and the interior of the guides, put the appropriate lubricant, and reassembled the the caliper, braket, pads etc into place, got home and the disk was still bloody hot! Instant disapointment! So I'm to think that it could be one of the two barke piston itself that could be seized! I'll have to work it out tomorrow!
Davidwwc, do you know by any chance what product was used to replace your old calipers? Brand and part number?

You should always use the correct torque specification for a part when specified; brakes are one of those areas that should be torqued to spec. I don't really like to guess on something like that.

Sorry about the late reply. I was away for 2 weeks .
This may not be any help anymore but just in case. I bought 2 calipers from Mardy and just installed them with help of my friend. I still have my old caliper cores which will be returned for the precharge.
You can also buy them from Napa .( same part of 94 NA Monduro v6 3 litre ) It cost a little more than Mardy @ Amuzing auto.
Hope you already have your calipers fixed.

I got it fix allright! Indeed caliper at Napa was the cheapest solution for me as I live in Ottawa!! Benson auto part did have a Core aswll. Autopartsway Canada only had a lefty and 7-10 shipping. Usautoparts had a caliper repair kit (square ring, boot, washer, seal) for 40$ but still a 7-10 day shipping and that was too long to wait! Mardy is a bit far away from home!
