remote door lock swap from one L300 to another?

i know the remote box is under the drivers seat, and the wires go various ways. is it simple to swap out of one van into another? is it simpler to buy a remote mechanism at an auto parts store?

I haven't seen the box you are talking about under the seat as mine came with the standard electric operators for the passenger and side door. I just added a remote from PA and door solenoid also from PA with a couple wires for power. The unit comes with 4 relays and you'll need 2 for the door locks. I used the remaining relays for a siren and site light.

You can probably do the switch but if you need access to all the door interiors the wiring becomes a PITA.

I did find a few good write ups on conversions using wiring similar to what I did.

It should be any easy swap Ari, the wiring almost always goes into little cheater harnesses that are removed with the door lock units. Call me if you need advice. I promise I will answer the phone !!!!
