Fuel Sending Unit Ohm ratings

I seem to have an issue with my fuel sending unit not quite telling me the correct amount of fuel. I have been driving on my odo for the past 2 years and would like to get that working again. I took out the sending unit when it first went wonky but can't remember the resistance I was getting. Does anyone have that spec or does someone have one they can measure for me. I just want to make sure it is the sending unit and not the actual gauge that is faulty.
