L400 mystery relay

probably a no brainer, but....................

- relay attached at mounting bracket for hood support
- 5 red (plus stipes, dots and such) wires
- relay works fine
- 12 volts at two pins
- can not seem to make it do anything (actually operate with something)
- was disconnected for months, if not since I owned it

What be that relay for?

May be if non genuine a dual battery solenoid for a battery in the back outlet. I mounted mine there.

fog light relay............... pulled fuse, 12V disappeared, not used, but good to know its there.
