Hi my name is Derek!
Hi My name is Derek and I am a 1995 L400 2.4L GAS Powered Dellica. I have been in Canada for just over a year now. I love packing my buddy Aaron and his family around on their many adventures. I was just a baby when I arrived in Canada with only 16,200Km to my name. In the last year I have done plenty of growing and now have matured to just over 60,000KM! I live in Nanaimo and I love the Island. This is where I belong! Nice to meet you all!

The tanks is 65L and I get about 450km on a tank of city driving. About 16.28 US MPG by my calculations.

PS. I tend to drive my van like a race car as Derek sure is peppy. He accelerates very quickly and cruises on the highway at 140 and it feels like 80! I thought this van would slow me down!

Hey there! I'm a Nanaimo-ite as well. 91 L300 Exceed. I'm usually running with signage on, either Ace Courier or SWAT Pest Control. See you around town!

Is that the single cam version of that engine? I once swapped a 16 valve head onto a 2.4 bottom and it made stupid power. If you're looking to burn more gas, it's something to think about.

If you want a quick and easy way to track your fuel consumption, you could try using http://www.fuelly.com - click on the badge in my signature line and you'll see what it's all about.romperroom wrote:The tanks is 65L and I get about 450km on a tank of city driving. In order to add your own vehicle model, select other, and then type in a name.
And to Derek - welcome to the group! My name's Monty and this was my introductory thread: http://www.delica.ca/forum/i-m-new-to-t ... -7372.html. And with only 16000 kilometers on the clock - that's awesome. I'll bet the 'new' smell hasn't even fully dissipated yet.

I have the 16 valve twin cam head already, and yes this van has stupid power for what it is!Feds wrote:Is that the single cam version of that engine? I once swapped a 16 valve head onto a 2.4 bottom and it made stupid power. If you're looking to burn more gas, it's something to think about.
