Delica seatbelts

Post by mama lou »

Hi thanks for the answers to my first questions! When we pick up our van we will be getting dropped off in vancouver with our 2 year old and his car seat, does anyone know if we will have any problems strapping him in?

I know some of the 1990 Delicas do not have the sholder straps for the mid-row captains chairs, that why we went for a 1991. It a may be the the were optional in both the 1990s and 1991s, I have a Super Exceed, so it has most of the options. We need the shoulder straps for our two oldests that ride in booster seats.

I installed an anchor bolt in the rear row and one in the midrow so we had options of where to stick the youngest chair seat.

Hi Mama Lou,

We have two kids in car seats and went for a 1992 Super Exceed. We made sure we had shoulder belts for the two captain seats plus (although not currently using) the two shoulder belts in the back seat. We put both car seats into the captain seats with relative ease. I did have to mount the anchor for the back anchor strap in each seat. Although you may not have to, I took out the captain seats (very easy, four nuts), flipped them over and drilled out the hole then bolted in the anchor. All in, maybe 30 minutes work.

To fit the contour of the captain seats, I have the car seats a little too reclined ...... but this just means the boys can more easily stare at the stars through the crystal lite roof. In the end, we're happy that everyone is strapped in safe and sound.
