Drivers side seatbelt

Post by Sanluis ph »

Hi all, I am a new delica owner. I am having an issue with my drivers side seat belt. If I just pull on the belt, it will roll back in, but somewhat slowly compared to the other belts.
The belt is ok when i fasten it up, but as soon as I start the van, it looses tension. If I lean to check traffic, etc, it just hangs loose. When I park the van, and turn off the ignition, the tensioner tightens the belt up. If anyone else has had this experience, or any ideas as to whats wrong, it is greatly appreciated.

Cheers, and thanks.

It's a feature! My girlfriend hated that too, so I deactivated it. Can't remember exactly what it looks like but you will find an electrical connection near the inertia reel behind the panel where the belt disappears. Just disconnect it. I found it when tightening up the spring. (Sprong!!)

Be smarter than me and take a picture of what you find.
