Manipulating the Yen

"For the third time in a year, Japan's government has intervened in the yen, its unit of currency, according to Japan's finance minister."

"Minutes after the announcement, the Nikkei stock index shot up 100 points and the yen weakened against the dollar."

Not sure if anyone here is plugged into the financial/global markets, but it is a great time to play with currency and stocks if you have some extra cash.

As for the Japan Ministry tampering with the Yen, it sure makes waves we can feel over here.

but.... results were quickly washed away when US markets opened up and stocks tumbled after a disappointing US labour market report.
