Top up coolant reserve

Post by sigurross »

I noticed my coolant reserve is pretty low today. Is it recommended to flush the existing fluid before putting it new fluid or is it pretty safe just to top it up (i have no idea what is in it now)? And, that leads me to my next question: What kind of coolant should I put in my Del? Brand recommendations would be great!

If you couldn't tell, I'm pretty new to this stuff but very keen to learn, especially if it ensures a healthy delica!

Thanks all. You've all been a huge help to me since I got my van. It does not go unappreciated.

You can use any premixed coolant that is not dextron specific for ford/speical engine models.

you may want to have the cooling system pressure and dye tested for any leaks just in case.
