Brake Pads for L400 Space Gear 1994

Post by vanermi »

Hi all, I'm new and searched around for brake info. Found a lot of info, but was wondering if anyone can confirm if these pads will work. I searched Canadian Tire website for 1996 Mitsubishi Montero and chose the only options they had and this is what the site result was.

Just looking to see if anyone can confirm they will in fact fit.

Thanks,

So long as the application is 92-98 Montero V6 3.0L, it's good.

So I called Canadian Tire and asked them to cross reference with Raybestos ATD530C/PGD530C/SGD530C Front brake pads (part number that I was able to find for a Mitsu Montero 98) and they confirmed it was the same part as the Nascar Advantage (raybestos) 16-0327-8

They're on sale for 36.38

Run for them!

Problem with CT is that they don't have Mitsu Montero in their Database so it's not possible for them to cross reference!

You're right she wasn't able to confirm on their database however online you can and she cross referenced that way to confirm. They'll be in Wednesday so I'm keeping my fingers crossed as the squeakers are quite annoying and making me nervous too!

Tried, but they are not the same. My mechanic pointed out the differences. Rear stuff is all the same though. Front calipers same as well.

good to know! so just to be redundant and safe, 92-98 montero v6 for front pads AND CALIPERS is a direct fit for my 95 l400? starting to get the caliper "click" on mine, pads still good and fairly new, and i really should already have spare calipers in the rig...

All ( front and rear brake pads, all calipers, rear rotor ) are good from montero except front rotor.
Front rotors are not available at local part shop.

Yep - Calipers work. I got mine at NAPA along with some ceramic pads. They were not fully loaded but did come complete with sliders as well. My caliper seized up and in the end I got my calipers, pads, rotors, and repacked bearings - So what I am saying is get it done soon before one thing leads to another!

thanks Craig and Steven. okay, so if my calipers are clickin but rotors and pads are still good (from Mardy's preservice gig,) then all i really need are just the calipers right? i think it's just t he drivers side that's started to click a little at the end of a full stop, but if i'm gentle with teh brake then sometimes no click. just want to make sure all i need are just a new pair of calipers from napa...
cheers.
