Ive got to get my 5spd rebuilt, i considered buying a second hand one from CC autos, but its going to cost me 140$ just in ferry rides, and at least 100$ in fuel. Plus the 850$ for the second hand tranny and install.. And seeing as im going to sell it right away, id rather say its got a rebuilt tranny then just a replaced one (no value added)
Does anyone know of people that do rebuilds on these 5spds? they're about the size of a toaster so i cant imagine it would be a difficult job if you worked in the field, im assuming parts is the issue.
Ive spoken to people on here about some rebuild kit out of the states off ebay thats for a dodge of some kind, but i also need the input shaft gear, and return shaft gears as mine are MUNCHED.
Thoughts?
cheers
