A brand spanking new member here and soon new owner of a '90 L300.
Next week I adopt a Deli named Mr. Roboto. Maybe some have heard of him? He's a Veggie loving Turbo Diesel living in Golden.
I'm retiring my old Suzuki Sidekick. Since I was rookie driver of 16 I have driven Sidekicks. I've had other rides in the past, but Suzuki has always been close to home and I kept coming back. They have been powering my family for many years; father, brother, sister, and sister in law. Though, before I even had a drivers licences, my brother and I used to fix up old VW minibuses. I'm excited to merge the two together, 4x4 low gears with character of the V-Dubs.
Many thanks to all the members here and their contributions. I have been reading tons for some time now and have learned so much. I hope I can contribute lots in coming days. I like doing my own work and not afraid to dig in. I'm excited to become a Deli owner and mostly a Veggie Eating Deli Owner. I see a bright future of epic adventures ahead.

Welcome to Delica Canada, Scott
I was wondering what had happened to Mister Roboto. Look forward to hearing about your plans... smiles.

Welcome Doublemonk!
Always room for another veggie burner!
Cab over l300 is super fun and more robust
than a VW.
Make sure your cooling system is happy and
block your EGR for them there hilly roads
of the interior.
(EGT gauge isn't a bad idea either)
Right On!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Luna-sea, thanks for the heads up on blocking the EGR. I hope in the future I can tweak it out so there won't be much need to recirculate exhaust for extra combustion. Hydrogen or propane injection will provide extra power and cleaner burning combustion I'm looking for. All part of the epic adventures that lay ahead.
Oh, who can point me in the direction of getting some Delica Canada stickers?

There's a mini meet tomorrow (Saturday, 27th August) in Vancouver (see: http://www.delica.ca/forum/an-undergrou ... 11345.html ) There will be Mitsumaple stickers there. Typically the mini meets or similar events are where you find the stickers.

Wish I could make it. Right now I'm sitting in the opposite corner of the province finishing my last night shift as a Medic before I go and pick up Mr. Roboto on days off. I tell ya, after working nearly a whole summer of 46 nights and a pile'o days, it will feel great to roll up to a meet for the first time!
Hope you band of underground 'Right-Wheelers" have a fun night. I'm sure one day I will meet some of ya'll. I'll sniff out those stickers yet, I tell ya.
