hi all from new zealand,HELP ME!

i have recently purchased a l300 van(2wd) and was wondering if anyone can help me with a few issues?

- I want to tint the back windows,how do i remove them???

-how do i wind down the torsion bar?

your help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there new guy and welcome. I lived in NZ for a year in 2010 and had a L300 aswell. No shortages of them down there.

Here in Canada we usually don't take out a window to tint it. You might want to ask someone local about that. I remember seeing window tint at super cheap auto that you could do yourself if you wanted to try. Would save you some cash. I have done it once and its not to hard but does take some practice.

As for the torsion bars I am no expert. It would be helpful to know what year your van was for starters. You could also search this forum for treads about the subject.

Where abouts are you in NZ?

I have tinted a few cars in my time, with tint you can buy from the local autoparts store.

I have never removed a window to do this.

As long as you give yourself lots of time, read the directions, and use lots of care and attention, you can achieve results quite close to a professional job, for a fraction of the cost.
