Hi there,
Yesterday I ordered new glow plugs.
When taking off the old ones, I found that one had some oil on it and another one had his tip broken. Are these signs of a worse problem ? Thanx for any advice,
Davy

It is very usual and natural as long as you have a manual control system.
you can't start engine at the optimum temperature , which is leading short life and misuse.

Have a compression and leakdown test done when you can.
Tips that have burned off and drop into the piston chamber can have a negative effect on the engine's lifespan.

Thanks for the advice. I've seen my mechanic yesterday but he is not much into diesel, so i'll have to find someone who has the proper tools to do these tests. I let you know about the results eventually.jfarsang wrote:Have a compression and leakdown test done when you can.
