Thread icons. Stupid question?

Hey, new member here. This might be a stupid question, but what do all the different icons along the LH side of the threads mean? Some have a dot, some have the Mitsumaple, some are wiggling...

This took me a while to figure out but if you go to a forum index page, i.e.; General Discussion, you will find a legend at the bottom left quadrant of each page.

Thanks for the reply Falco. I found that legend after I posted my question. D'oh!

So my question was a bit stupid, but not entirely. I don't see the icon with a black dot on any of the legends. What does it mean? It's not keeping me up at night or anything... just curious.
