Parts?
I was wondering if we could have a member (non-commercial) parts section on Delica.ca
I have a couple tires with 45% tread that I would like to let go for cheap $25 each and Delica Trader doesn't seem homey like this site

Re: Parts?
There is a parts section in Delica Trader, although I must admit it has a commercial flair to it. Perhaps we could create a secondary one for non-commercial. Before there was such a demand for a separate vehicle sales & parts section ~ we only had the one parts section, so when we moved the new package to Delica Trader we created one parts section. The idea of Delica Trader is "buy and sell". If you're selling then that's the place to go. We did this because there was such a protest about parts. This was the general tenor:
Falco.
P.S.: I've moved this thread to Site Suggestions so we can keep track of member interests.
As Delica Trader develops there will be different categories created as the demand becomes evident, currently there is one. Good luck with your sale. Finally! Thanks G...Mark! How about 'Delica Parts & Supplies'? This section is even more annoying floating on top all the time.
Falco.
P.S.: I've moved this thread to Site Suggestions so we can keep track of member interests.

Re: Parts?
Needs a private sale parts section BADLY...123 posts of dealer stuff...I phone dealers when I need a part.
AND really a dealer trying to sale USED TENSIONERS!!!! OMG what a bad idea!!! Who would replace a timing belt and put a used tensioner in?

Re: Parts?
Personally I think this form fits for Private Part Sales better. This is a community and usually private sales are people trying to sell or give away parts more to help each other then make $$$. I personally think it fits this form better.
Examples are seats, interior parts (from camper conversions), custom made parts such as the EGR plates, or lifts, or hubs snorkel orders, Pyro kits (where our community is giving away or for sale without real profit parts)
I know personally I would not have my Hubs (cost), Pyro (cost need to pay for still
), interior roof panels (free), EGR kit, triple gauge set (free again), WITHOUT THIS FORUM.
I would have never looked on DelicaTrader.ca for it (sure to buy my van I would look there, but not for private sales it loses something)
NOT my thread but I think we need a vote (Unfortunately, this site has no set rules for the community to make changes (monarchy at best) so not sure the vote is worth anyone's time):
1) Parts section on DelicaTrader.ca is fine (no changes)
2) Add a Private Parts Section to DelicaTrader.ca
3) Leave the DelicaTrader.ca site as is, but allow Private Sales on Delica.ca (PRIVATE ONLY)
4) Add a Private section to DelicaTrader.ca and allow Private Sales on Delica.ca (PRIVATE ONLY)
I vote: 3 or 4.

Re: Parts?
or just leave the Delica Parts and Supplies the way it was with the one single rule : no dealer/commercial postings.
Simple.
There is a lot of information in this section to dump it off the site.

Re: Parts?
That is exactly what I would like to see is Private Sales only as I think it fits this site and this community best.jfarsang wrote:or just leave the Delica Parts and Supplies the way it was with the one single rule : no dealer/commercial postings.

It is how I got all my parts (new parts I just phone/email dealers for prices)...

Re: Parts?
Private sales section for parts. I make custom interior pieces that don't really have a good home here anymore. Almost no one is likely to stumble on my pieces in the delica trader parts section.
Other than that, delica trader seems to be doing its job - things are much more civil now overall.

Re: Parts?
I think this is a good idea, especially for one-off parts that most people wouldn't think of looking for on Delica trader but might stumble across on the forum.
