Re: lifting with shackles
mardy did my alignment. it goes straight so i guess he did a good job.
Lifting the front beyond the torsion bars gets pricey fast. lots of parts needed.
New leafs would be a good way to go in the back. I'll look into that too at some point.

Here they are, not cheap though:
http://www.delicashop.com/L300/Accessor ... fault.aspx

330.00 AUD = 292.379 CAD = 293.181 USD, can't belive it is cheaper than in the US:-)

Re: lifting with shackles
Thanks guys! Actually $300 for the flares isn't so bad. The flares for Suzuki Samurai cost more than that. Anyway, I will head out to look at that grey 5-speed. If all goes well, I will buy my Delica next week (Then I will probably have a lot of questions for you guys).
cheers,

Re: lifting with shackles
Just thinking.....does the sliding side door need modification to clear the fender flares?
Re: lifting with shackles
mine has flares and the side door *just* brushes by. Like enough to wipe the dust off, without any binding or resistance.
Re: lifting with shackles
Anyone know of a company making stronger torsion bars? And CV's?
As well what shocks are people running?

I would rather wear out then rust away.

Re: lifting with shackles
Hi, you can get pretty much what ever your budget will allow for CV's
on my van I have Rancho 9000 shocks. I like the 9000's because if I am going to be towing or carying a load, i can stiffen the shocks, or dial them down to be softer up front if I want, they have the 5 way adjustable valve system. pretty cool
