HELP! Mitsubishi Bravo injector wire question

Post by dotcombabe »

Hi All!

My dad is helping a friend with a Mitsubishi Bravo engine, and now is having a "minor detail" issue of what the order should be on the fuel injector connection wires.

Attached is the picture of what I'm talking about. Would any of you be able to tell me which colour goes where, please? There are three wires, blue, black and grey. He thinks that from the fan at the front going towards the back the order is blue, black, grey but would love for someone to verify this.

Another question he had is regarding the old distributor cap on the old engine. It had a vacuum hose coming off it but the new one doesn't. What is the vacuum hose for? He's wondering if he should swap them or not.

Thanks for any help you can provide!
~Naomi

He found out that it couldn't hurt things if they were hooked up incorrectly so he tried the sequence he thought was correct and it worked :)
