Alternator - impending doom?

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

Alternator - impending doom?

Post by supa_fox »

Hey guys
Looks like the alternator is on its way out. dash lights come on when at a stop so called the ama guy. tested the battery and alternator, batteries look good, but he says the alternator measures 12.5v and that she is on her last breath.
No problems other than the lights.
So. Do i pull it out and get a rebuild or go for a new one (is this even an option/is there a supply?)

Thoughts?

cheers

just rebuild it. all internals are available to any electronics shop. L400 alternators do not have a vaccum sump on the rear like the L300's.
