Compliance help?

Post by Taynton »

Hi all, although I am new to this forum I have spent hours going through all the topics (delicafever) anyway, i have purchased a 1991 delica through terra 2 imports and it should be arriving around the 15th of November. What i was wondering was if any one knows the best place to buy the compliant headlights reflectors etc. and is it difficult to install these things? I am coming from Kelowna and I want to get my van, comply it, inspect it, and insure it all in about 3-4 days. Is this unrealistic? any help is appreciated

Hi!

I'm surprised no one answered your post yet! I'm going through the same process and simply used the search engine for BC Compliance on this site, helpful. You can also contact some of the local Delica dealerships:
(http://www.Japanoid.com, http://www.abbotsfordjapanauto.com, http://www.jdm-wholesale.ca) as they should do compliance.

This company advertise specifically on compliance package: http://www.rockymountainimports.net
I've never dealt with any of them yet as I'm still waiting for mine but I've been to japanoid a few times, visited their shop/garage and felt confident they could work on my future Delica if needed.

Good luck

I've spoken with the guys at Japanoid in New Westminster, and I bet they could get you ready in two to three days. It probably depends more on the inspector than their garage. You should give them a call and set something up.

We have had our van for 2 years now. 2 weeks ago, we got stopped in port alberni and told that we need a compliance inspection again... After some phone calls, we finally found someone who knows these vehicles very well. His name is Marty.. His # is 604 720 6144... He got lights changed, extra brake lights installed, running lights put in, etc etc... He also took care of some other issues we have in our van.. alignment done, tortion bar tightened again and replaced some loose old tire rods... The van is running way better now and we have our inspection done.. papers, sticker and all... He pretty much took care of everything...
