Leather Upholstery

Post by nxski »

I'm wondering if anyone has looked into upholstering their seats in leather. I would like to do the rear bench, 2 captains chairs and front seats when I get around to installing heated seats in the front. I can't find any threads and have no idea how much I should be saving for something like this. If anyone has any knowledge on the subject and could provide some contacts or prices that would be great!

Thanks :M

Thanks for the link! These are all just seat covers though are they not? I'm looking for a more permanent option as I don't like covering up the rear seat armrest or the mesh storage conmpartnents behind the rear seats. I find the look to be less than appealing in certain areas as well.

I know you're going to laugh but in Langley there is an amazing upholstery shop called Happy Ho's.

They did my Jeep years ago (opposite leather to fabric) and it was better than stock and reasonably priced.

They are to upholstery what CVI is to Delica's, Dale's is to alignments.

I know of a guy who did this, and going cloth to leather when done at a upholstery place cost him $700 for front and rear seats in a car, I would expect a Deli to be the same, in fact, they may even be able to do the doors as well!

That's much cheaper than I expected! I suppose the Delica will have 2 extra seats but still sounds like a reasonable price.
Thanks

Not yet, I've perused the site but I'm looking to do this when I return from traveling. I'm basically done with mods now and when I return I will attempt this one, put in laminate flooring, get a trailer (and wire the van for it), and possibly get it repainted as well.
