where is every one planning to use kinetic rope on their delicas? is there a tow point stron enough on a stock vehicle to handle the forces transmitted nby the kinetic rope?
masterpull is a great product but there is nothing special about it. you can buy the same type of rope in bulk or in any length from a distributor and make your own loops in it. its just taking the time to splice the eyes properly.

You would have to weld in some proper tow hooks as the stock are just tie down points and light duty tow hooks.
If you can get the price at much less than the masterpull it is worth waiting. Either way I'll need one for spring so I don't have to bring the Pajero recovery team everywhere I go :)

I have not had a chance to look under the L300 for attachment points or areas to weld onto yet.pajerry wrote:You would have to weld in some proper tow hooks as the stock are just tie down points and light duty tow hooks.

I am sure you meant weld in or bolt on recovery points, for others that have not used kinetic ropes, tow hooks are a bad idea. a strong recovery point pad eye with a shackle to keep the rope eye from slipping off is a standard. these ropes are very dangerous if not used and connected properly.

Where do you guys think the tow point is on this Delica being towed out of Stave Lake?

Kinda looks like they used the rear left shackle? Is that okay in a pinch?
I'm heading into deep snow country this winter, and there is a good chance that I'll be towing or getting towed, so I would appreciate info on where to put a shackle, and what size.
