A while ago I started to experience a rattling sound when driving over bumps. At first, I thought it was the window or window mechanism, which some other posters have mentioned. But, in my case, it made no difference whether the window was up or down, so I concluded it wasn't that. After a little investigating, I discovered that it was the shoulder belt height-adjusting mechanism. To be honest, I'm not sure what was wrong, but after adjusting its position a few times the rattling went away. I suspect that it was somehow between positions or otherwise not fully seated.
I'm posting this in the hope that it might be useful to somebody else.
