Thanks for all the excellent advice.

I have decided to go with Coombs Country Auto Parts.

The one I have is a 75 amp and he is willing to sell me a 90 amp for $275.00 (with core return). It comes with a warranty.

After reading through the threads it seems that the higher amperage will serve me well.

Picking the part up on Saturday morning.

More than you would pay to have it refurbished but not by too much so a great deal to be able to upgrade! 8-)

No problem CP. The more options and opinions you have, the more sound decision you can make.

Also, when you put it back in, fit it all up, tension it, run the engine for a while, then leave it till the next morning, re tension it, and then put the drivers floor back in, otherwise it will start squealing within days, this is what I've found, at least when using new belts, as they are never exactly the same length, and I guess the shorter one stretches a little bit soon after fitting, so a night of being on the rack will mean you won't have to redo it for a few months rather than days/weeks.

Also, stubby ratchet 12mm spanner.
