Looks simple to jig up and make, just look locally. Lots of people tig weld, so why add international shipping (time/money). If Jesse can lend me a tank to copy I'd have no problem, I'm sure Noel would do a fine job as well.

Hey, thats fine supporting your own is good, my original aim was to make the tank without breaking the bank, here in the UK the tank I make is comparable price wise the the original plastic tank. It takes me between 3 and 4 hours to make a tank and add the material cost, alot of fab shops would charge alot more than me, with the high hourly labour rates. I also spend time cleaning the tanks to give them a clean look, nothing worse than ali welds with white lines down the sides.

I pride myself on the quality of my work and hopefully the feedback left on the UK and the Australian sites backs this up, I also regularly receive plenty of emails thanking me for the service I provide.

Regards Lee.

Your price is fair Lee. Any shop in Canada would be hard pressed to come in at the same as you. Personally my replacement tank will be ordered from you once I get my L400 off the boat and home. Your products are slick and will suit my customization needs quite well.

I have a mig welder as well and can weld when I need to. Its just not worth my time to get the sheet stock and other bits to try and save a buck. Its better for me to get what I need when I need it and install it. The goal is ZERO downtime.

Cheers mate!

I'll bring one by this weekend. I'd rather pay someone local as well.

It would be a good design idea to shift the tank forward so one can access the fuel filter with normal hands.

Browsing through old threads. I ordered a tank from Lee last week. I'll update when it arrives.

Tank is in my hot little hands. I got dinged for $40 worth of duty, but I'm not sad about it. It's a high quality unit, the welds are top notch.

Pics and install soon.
