What a crisis! My deli (Blueberry) is too tall for my underground parkade. No surprise there as she is 7'7" tall. I thought to get street parking, but it appears that my building is blacklisted from the City of Vancouver. I am not allowed to get a permit; what a crisis. Spoke to the supervisor and all I got was "investigate alternative parking solutions".
Anyone had this issue before? What did you do?
Selling my ride is just not an option.
Lowering it is an option, but still wont get me in the underground.
Calamity!

Where in Vancouver do you live? I've yet to find a place that doesn't have some kind of free parking nearby.

I am in Cambie village. Its either metered, or permit only. There is a VERY small stretch of parking out front that is 100% free, but its tough to get as the VGH staff usually pinch it.

Jamie sent you an email.
If you have to stay in that neighborhood, you may have a nice neighborhood with a parking permit.
or you can give this a try. http://en.parkopedia.ca/parking/private ... vancouver/
#9 is at Columbia @ 12 for $70/mo
Off-street parking space available, 24-hour access, will fit mid-size RV

Yes, Jesse, I think I am going to have to canvas my neighbours and make some new friends.
Also FYI all, apparently there is a bylaw in which your vehicle is not allowed to be >2.2 meters (7'2"). If you do go and request a parking permit, dont mention that yours is >2.2 m. You open yourself up for a challenging conversation.

There are aftermarket springs that are 2 inch lowered from stock height in market, it maybe a solution if you want to keep that monster.lettereleven wrote:Anyone had this issue before? What did you do?

They are very popular in big cities in Japan to fit underground parking.
