Backwoods Camping Southern Vancouver Island

Can anybody recommend a good location to do some van camping in southern vancouver island? I was thinking about doing the diversion reservoir up forbay rd near jordan river.

Anybody else know some good spots they'd be willing to share? A spot decently remote with a great view would be ideal.

Ended up going to Sunny Daze campground on Renfrew Rd.

Don't know if anybody else has been there but it was a unique experience. The guy that runs the place was definitely a character, and I mean that with the upmost respect. Had a great time here and would recommend it to everybody here that's looking for camping in this area (Shawnigan lake area).

Would be an excellent place for a island Delica meet down the road. The guy who owned the land was crazy about my van.

While the carvings are cool I think it would be better if done on dead wood.

the trees will survive.

I'm more worried about walking around in the dark and finding one of those carvings looking right at you. darkness can play many games with a person.
