Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

@ jfarsang...$70 for a 2.25 pipe...when you say from flange to tip where are you talking about? From the back of the muffler out or the whole line coming from the exhaust manifold? It would make sense to have the whole line be 2.25 or wider otherwise you'd get a restriction... Correct?

@nxski...how's the cheery bomb working for you?

The muffler I got was similar to the cherrybomb but not the same (glasspack). It's working out really well, I love the sound (definitely louder than stock but not too noisy). The only issue I had was that I bought one that was slightly too long. It hits a piece of metal in front of the rear wheel when I shut the vehicle off, but I'm planning on just putting some padding there and it should be fine. All together the muffler was $30 and the Pipe and install with heavy duty hanger was $150. Not too bad if you ask me.

I think I'll go with the cherry bomb...it fits.

From the exhaust pic it looks like just the tail end [muffler to exhaust end] was replaced. The rest looks stock... Just trying to get an idea of price since the whole thing is a long piece of pipe.

Great work on your machine...

Yes, the size got narrower at the first connection point so now the width stays constant all they way along. It's possible to get the same muffler I got if you like, but in a shorter length (I wouldn't suggest getting the exact same one I did though because it does hit the frame).

Ok that's good to know regarding the size of muffler... Is it 2.5 or 2.25? It's not hideous sounding...I want performance not attention... A nice growl is good but that's about it..

So you did get the pipe done from the exhaust manifold all the way down...?

I'm in Calgary but what shop did you take it to?

I barely notice it with the window up but down it sounds fairly loud, especially in the tunnels. I was being cheap and going for good flow and didn't really care about noise. I like the sound it makes but I couldn't say if it would or wouldn't be too loud for you, it does have a nice growl.

I bought the muffler from Lordco (2.25in 2.25 out): $22.39 with tax
Installed by Hoegler's Muffler City in Richmond
- 1 tail pipe: $35
- 1 Hanger: $24
- Install Labour: $134
Total with tax (parts and install: $172.47

Everywhere else I asked quoted me between $200-250 or refused to work on the vehicle because they had issues with Delica's in the past.
