keep in mind that's still 10volts or so feeding in to 6volt plugs... it's not such a ridiculous loss when you put it in perspective!

I guess I need to check the glow plugs now if that is the case.

no real trouble starting, but it does miss for a while when it's cold out after starting, but not to the point where it stalls (so far)

I would imagine the high loss is from the high current, I use an inverter and it warns of low voltage or shuts off completely when the glow plugs are getting their initial juice, so they must be consuming a lot of power at that point.

Good point. Now I am curious though, I wonder what is causing that loss. In reality, the circuit should be designed to allow for such a high current (big enough wire and contactors etc), unless it is meant to lose that much on purpose through the relay or something. I might have to play around and find out where it loses it, just because I am curious now if it is gradual across the whole system or if it is just the relay or something. Either way, I guess I really need to test the glow plugs.

Problem solved, loose hose clamp behind the battery.
