On my L400 that rocker switch turns on the windshield wiper ice melter. Not all L400 have that.

I wonder how you can tell if it's equipped?psilosin wrote:On my L400 that rocker switch turns on the windshield wiper ice melter. Not all L400 have that.
If you have the little bars under your wipers just hit the switch and feel it. Mine worked awesome until I took a rock just below it and it cracked through it. You'd think if they installed the switch it would work, but I've had that whole area apart to clean the washer lines, and I didn't notice anything special that would indicate the presence of a heated wiper...
I would guess it is the heater filament on/off switch if you have the optional heated windscreen (to keep your wiper blades from freezing to the bottom of the windshield)whatthejeez wrote:Hi folks,
Is it an imposition to ask what the middle rocker switch in the top row of three is for? The one with the wiper/water sign on it.
Close big bird, it took me some time but I found the use of the pull knob. In the out position it closes a damper on the air intake for the cab under the hood, worked great for the 40 below days in Sask Toasty warm.Big-Bird wrote:Does it have a snorkel? I wonder if its a type of bypass flap for the air intake....
Never seen a pull type control in that position on a stock Mitsubishi 4x4.
All part of the mystery of getting a JDM!
