Its done! Went from the stock 2" system with restrictive 4baffle muffler to 2.25" system with Flo-Pro single chamber unit and down-facing tip. Calgary Carline Muffler did a really nice job and smoothed out some bends in the new pipes to reduce the angles. What a difference this has made on the steep incline on Stoney Trail and Sarcee Trail. The 4M40 pulled like never before.
Impressed with the newfound torque and still kept it quiet at idle but when you hit that throttle the turbo-spool is like music......pweeeeeeeeeet.............rumble.....all good.

Why did you choose 2.25 vs 2.5" diameter pipe?

The shop ran out of prefabbed 2.5" flange connections. He had 3" and 2.25"....and 3" was touching 650.00$....a bit to much. So i knocked down to 2.25" and kept it under $550.
I installed a new thermostat today and temp probe. Was having prob's with keeping the engine hot. Now that the engine runs at temp there is quite a bit more power with the new exhaust system.

Thanks, it sounds great!
Have you noticed an improvement in fuel economy, or just power?
