Hi all from Australia, we have a similar problem here except with scooping sand, not snow.....a few of our members have designed and fitted there own "bash/skid plates" made from stainless steel and with ventilation holes cut in the front.....still allows airflow and no overheating issues have been found yet, considering our hot climate. Will track down some pics for you soon.....cheers

That''d be great,those of us here in the Okanagan (in BC) get snow in the winter and usually mid to high 30's (sometimes low 40's) in the summer.
