Kona was posting about the lightweight plastic containers that most WVO comes in. I do have heavy plastic containers that would be great for carrying WVO, they normaly hold 50L but I think you would be able to squeeze a few more L into them if anyone is interested. I have a limited supply but I may be able to obtain more over time, they are designed to stack which makes them nice but I wouldn't trust them unstrapped in a moving vehicle :)

You've got your EGT gauge which is good.
That will help a lot with a loaded Delica going up hills.

Well David, I regularly carry 20 18.9 liter or 5 gallon water bottles without much notice. They weigh 47.9lbs each. My record is 30 bottles without even taking the seats out. That was noticeable and probably pushing the envelope

Limits to everything.

Delicat, you forgot to mention the 4 cubes that are waiting in Calgary! But then they aren't adding any weight to the total. They should pretty much replace what you burn getting here.
See you soon!

This shows a little video on how much fit in the van a few years ago, literally there were bags on Rose's lap (I'm glad we had a highroof then!), and we drove all the way up to smithers from vancouver. We even had disassembled tables and chairs and shelves... not just light things, everything we owned. I would say a couple thousand pounds is not a problem. It purred like a kitten actually, and the stance didnt look half bad. It was like playing with leggo trying to cram it all in.
Happy trails.

Writing from beautiful Revelstoke, cool little town surrounded by snowy mountains. It's been a nice journey. Haven't used any diesel yet or maybe a cup... van is running great, averaging 10l/100km. Drove by Crows nest up to Osoyoos, slept near some indian reserve by a river, no problem. Today drove up the Okanagan Valley and just arrived here.
Weight the van as I left, 2900kg and equal front/rear axle. The worse part of the trip was the climb up Manning. Had to drop to 60km/h, Pyro creeping 1000F and engine temp 3/4 up. But for the rest it's been very good, driving 100km/h no problem, a bit slower up hills but no biggies.
Thanks all!
D.

14?
I bet a few of them had to act like kids so they would all fit

My max has been seven men plus five gliders, harnesses and other gear. Probably not much more than 2000lbs. Tires at 42psi. The van worked just fine including some low range 4x4 action. Amazing vehicle, super cool ride to launch with lots of smiling faces.
