Firesong has removed his EGR and by the way ~ I said steal, not purchase. Nail lacquer is not cheap.dennis_lambert wrote:You could remove your crummy EGR valve and blank it out,It will lower your egt and slightly help your fuel economy, its also the perfect spot to mount a future pyro.
I can offer you 2 steel plates 1/4 thick drilled and painted with ceramic for $12.00 ( About what you would pay for a bottle of pink nail polish)
is that a cheap mod?
Cheers.

Snorkel? Nah, why would I need to have that?

Re: Anything cheap?
Trust me, I didn't install a snorkel to go through deep rivers. At least not deeper than a "regular" Delica can do too.Firesong wrote:Snorkel? Nah, why would I need to have that?

Advantage of the snorkel is you will notice a significant drop in EGT as well as increase in power. In my opinion the best bang for your buck mod for performance and easy to do as well.
Re: Anything cheap?
Go to Canadian Tire with a wad of CT bux and buy a cup holder. Screw/stick to some part of Delica. Mod complete.

Re: Anything cheap?
Funny enough, getting a good cup holder from CT
was one of my first mods after buying the van.
I need to do that to my boat now. :)

Re: Anything cheap?
You could paint on a snorkel....in pink. Not really as good for performance but good for a conversation starter. Sorry not really helpful to the question but the the pink hearts comment made me laugh out loud.
If you were good with wood or plastic you could rebuild the center console as others have done in the past. To have a decent cup holder that you can reach.
Cheers

I got the idea from some of the girls on the Aussie site. Hearts is just a start, you could also do a unicorn/pegasus pony on the tailgate.

Re: Anything cheap?
Just installed a cup holder for my lady. $4.95 Pen holder from Staples, I wrapped the wire mesh before I installed it to waterproof it. It's easy to do, just remove the glove compartment first. Measure, predrill and size. Took me less than 10 minutes. (watch for wires!!!!)
Sorry about the first pic, not too sure what went wrong.

Hey that is a pretty cool idea. Not sure if I am brave enough to cut a hole in the dash but that is cool.

Re: Anything cheap?
Right forgot that. Good point I suppose a small hole in the dash is really nothing compared to cutting a Deli in half!!!

Re: Anything cheap?
I would never ever put a cup holder there
Asking for a big splash and then drink down into the stereo.
Ask me how I know.
Anything that spills off the dash can get down through the
vents, through the hole from the altimeter/temp gauge pod hole.
I made my friend pay for the stereo after I told him repeatedly
not to put anything up on there.
