I'd heard that too, but also that it was more do-able one way than the other (can't remember which). I was willing to make the move, but ended up changing the whole vehicle for the lights. After driving around in our lousy weather and the road crews
spreading salt and gravel I got to thinking.. boy would it suck if...
I got a rock in the new lights...
So I used some 3/8" lexan I had laying around.. (Can't say that too often)
and created a force field ;) It should be as resistant to scratches as
the normal exterior covers that come with vehicles nowadays but I won't
use my heavy duty scraper on them.
