Falco
Shouldn't active posts be new and unread posts in the last week or?? at a given quantity per page.

I too found it odd that so few active posts were being added. It was like nobody was posting anymore.

Calendar access would be nice too but it could get clogged up with (subjective) junk too. An automatic calendar link to a particular topic may be a great feature. I clicked on it often but seldom saw much info on it, nor sure if many of the deli meets were even posted on the calendar.

This is hardly criticism and thanks for keeping us informed. Time to look arounnd our good site again.

Merry Christmas to all.

Minor point. The favicon.ico is missing, no biggie, but i'm used to looking for it in my tabs.

What is the "favicon.ico"?

One of these:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon

I think was a small mitsumaple before, i think you just drop into the top level directory and the browser finds it automatically.

Ah, as we said when we updated the system some things have to be rebooted. You are talking about the Mitsumaple ( :M ) that goes on the tab of your web browser? It's on the list ~ maybe we'll get to it.

Yes, upgrading the board did cause certain header elements to be overwritten (including favicon.ico) -- I've now restored the favicon, and this should now appear in the header bar.

What I find interesting is "View Active Topics" has not changed whatsoever. It is the exact same today as it was a few days ago. Also, the topics listed there are not necessarily big topics, one has no responses, &c., it's like it's frozen in time....

While some of the elements may not have been fiddled with by the Administrator or his protege, something has definitely happened to the functioning of those filters. Is there a way to reset them again, sort of a reboot, so they will start working properly? Right now the forum is(has) becoming(e) very disjointed and out-of-sync.

I concur with you on that point, the site is disjointed. Since I made that post I have noted that View Active Topics has changed a little and there are a couple of new posts in it. It's like it is suffering from some form of digital constipation.

First off; thanks for all the work you are doing to update the site. In the long run I'm sure it will be worth all the current headaches. "Digital Constipation" just became part of my lexicon, thank you for contributing to my delinquency, and toilet humour.

And there is something wrong with this post, as it is showing a Report but there's nothing there in the Report Screen (moderators only can see this icon).

Well... I wasn't going to say anything but now that you've mentioned it ~ I'm not sure how that has transpired. There is no report to be seen and I have tried to close the report but the page only claims that there is no report... kind of reminds me of the Matrix when Neo is waiting to speak with the Oracle and he is talking to the little boy who's bending all the spoons: "Don't try to close the report, for that is impossible. Instead, realise the truth ~ there is no report. Then you will see that it is yourself that you must close...." ~ or something to that effect.

"Active Topics" should (hopefully) now be restored to its former functionality (one bug out of the way, eighty-six more to go!)

As Falco had correctly noted in his previous post, the recent software upgrade will lead to a few short-term hickups, but hopefully the long-term benefits will prove to be worth-while!

and on a more important note (wait for it; scrolling in from the right) ...

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Delica Canada: Scrolling from the right.

P.S.: Mark, I see that View Active Topics only has one page. Is it possible to give it a seven page history?
