I'm guessing it does fit, but that the tricky front left anchor bolt is the issue. When I mount another plate on my next deli

I will poke a pointy thingy (punch, scribe, bit-o-wire, etc.) up through the bolt hole and either stuff my arm in the other side like I did this time (this way must be done before the plate is lifted into place), or finesse with my fingers on the same side, the washer and nylock nut over the pointy thingy so that they align with the hole. This is basically what I did, but without the pointy thingy as a guide. Then carefully trap the bolt with my fingers while I lift the plate into place, insert the bolt and catch the threads of the nut. After that it's easy enough to trap the nut with a spanner and cinch it tight. There is something (A/C bit, maybe), right above this hole too, so the bolt can't extent much beyond the topside of the nut. Anyway, I'm betting the Chamonix is the same as all the rest... Very interested to hear the outcome.
Just LOVE this skid-plate btw. I think it looks like it's been there all along...

i looked next door and what i found is this....
The chamonix versions have the stamped steel pan that goes under the front between the bull bars omitted. I guess they figured that because the
chamonix came with a half skidplate That they did not need the other plate under there as well !! So i bet you could source a plate from glenn or mardy if you really want
one of my skidplates. The bolts that go into the bottom lip of the air scoop are the same so no issues there.
Sorry......i never thought it would be an issue since those of you with chamonix are usually bragging about the plate under your vans !! hahahaha.....
so if you are on the list and have a chamonix let me know so i can work something out with you.

I call it the Breast Plate (Ride Of The Valkyries playing in the background).

The '89 is not a Chamonix and I haven't got that picture that I promised yet.

DelicaMark,
Have you checked p.16? There's pictures of a older Delica with square headlights... Should be similar to yours.

) we should meet sometime next sunday (butch will have it on saturday) anyway, it might be the same thing for the chamonix??????

The Alberta batch was picked up from Greyhound this afternoon by yours truly. Wahoo. I'll PM the other 3 to make arrangements for the rest of the delivery. Reinhold, I just have to make sure I don't forget yours!
I was wondering how I would know which one was for whom, but it was easy, mine is deburred and polished, and looks so much nicer than the other 3.
Thanks to Delicat and fishslapper for doing all this work.

Thanks to Erebus for being our go-to guy in Alberta! The shipping costs we half of what they would have been if the plates were sent out on their own.
Thanks again

And I was got to, and did go to ...
drrod came to my place and picked his up, no big deal. And then I went to Edmonton for SAR training (not to be confused with SARS training), and reinhold came to my hotel and picked us his. So it's not like I went out of my way. Of course, I still have to see what struggles and aggregations Jungle Jon puts me through to get his
Bet you didn't know that SARS can be trained, did you? Na, usually it is flown in. <really really bad pun groan>

Yup, he gave me a real hard time. Picked me up at work, drove me home, gave me money. Boy, the sacrifices I make for this group LOL.
So all skidplates in Alberta have been delivered. Haven't mounted mine yet, will when I get a chance, and have good weather. Thanks again Delicat and fishslapper on a job well done.
