It may be cheaper for you to have a rad shop simply pull the core and re-condition it. That's another option.

Not sure what your dealer will do, but I would rather have a reconditioned one over a used one unless you will have a new one swapped in.

Options are always good. :M

The Dealer replace the heater core, that took them a full day.
The fuel filter was clogged
The Injection pump overhaul and partially rebuilt
They replace accelerating o-ring and main seal
injector ultra cleaning and used new gasket/seals
I just got back to Gold Bridge the Delica full of grocery and supplies and I am getting 11l. per 100km :-)

take the glove box out and check the hose going into the heater core.

Also check the bleed valve in the engine bay. It's above the injection pump along the firewall. It looks like a black hose with a nylon nut screwed in. turn the engine on, let it idle, put the heat to full blast with the blower at full and the undo the nut. coolant should start to flow out. when it does, close it and then check to see if it still leaks inside.
I just fund the leak. I am not mechanically oriented and have no clue what is this plastic container and how to fix the dripping.
This is the exact leak I currently have :( same photo even haha
I've talked to Steven at Rising Sun and can get a new heater core for $380 to my door. I also talked to the local rad shop and he says once I get it out he'll look at it to see if he can fix it

My core leaked at the little plate that secured the core in the box. The core rubs the raw edge of the plate and it eventually generated a drip point. Easy to fix with a small blow torch and plumbers solder used on copper pipes.

The biggest hassle was getting the thing out of its miserable location. Almost the entire dash has to be removed just to get the heater box out.....Thankfully the AC system didn't need to be touched.

Total R&R time including the fix was just under 9 hrs and it was all done.
