I'm looking to test mi might max's 31's to see if the offset and width is correct. Is there a way of measuring this or do I put them on and drive it to see if they rub?
Thanks

You answered your question

put them on and drive unless you know the rim width and offset

Time to do some illegal uninsured driving around the block then. What should I look for to indicate that they're rubbing? My friends tires were really worn from rubbing but he had no clue that it was happening.

You have to flex the suspension and do it with the wheels in different turns also side door may need to open.
You can always put a day permit on it....

Thanks for the info. If the front ones are good does that mean the rear will be fine? I've heard that the front are the ones I have to worry about most.

Pop each corner on a curb while turning the wheel

Alright, will do. The rims are 15x7 and tires are 31x10.5 if that is any help. I still don't know the offset yet.

Here are some pictures of what the tires look like installed. I flexed the vehicle all around and nothing was touching but as the tread is at about 40% I'm wondering if the fact that the tires get quite close to rubbing will be an issue when I get new ones put on!?
I also attached a picture of what I'd like to do which is a straight-up swap of my Delica's rims and tires for those from my Boss' Might Max. Can anyone see why this would be a problem? He would just pay me for the tires as mine are only 6 months old and I would buy new ones for myself.

You'll rub with 31's on. In fact, you'll rip the front steps right off.
I had those rims on granola. They are American racing wheels 15x7 3.5" backspacing
See what they look like here :
http://www.delica.ca/forum/expedition-d ... -2895.html
and on Turtle
You'll need to remove your front steps and trim the plastic front corner back a little and the rear of the wheel well you'll need to either cut or hammer the vertical seam at the lowest point.
These steps are pretty normal for fitting 31x10.5 tires with a 7/8" rim with 3.5 to 3.75" backspacing.
Mandatory is removal of front steps and mudguards with 31's and a 2" lift

I figured I'd have to cut the rear, didn't know about the front, that's very good to know, and step removal is nice and easy. That's all you had to do with granola to make them work?
Thanks

Yep. I can show you exactly where to trim for zero rubbing at max articulation and full wheel lock.
There's quite a few lifted L300's floating around from Japan that don't have any modifications done to suit it for offloading. Mostly the lift goes on and it's kept on the road. Road princess

I should have clued in when you said Granola...I asked to buy those rims from the guys who are parting it out and was quoted $600-650. I think this is a much better deal. That would be great if you could show me where to trim it. If I understand correctly I should be alright for driving on the road for now but will need to do some cutting when I go offroading!?

Usually you can find AR rims like that on craigslist for around 100-200 for four. They are very popular and are used on Chevy's Toyota's Nissan's and Mitsu's.
You're good for driving on the road however I would remove the front steps just in case.

Will do, I'll be off the road anyways for the next month or so but I will need to drive somewhere to do the cutting as I don't think I have any tools that would be suitable.
