Anyone have a L300 in parts. That I can take the low roof off the top off? Just need from the rain gutters up.
Would make Fabrication of the Hightop easier....If not we will build a wood version.
I do not need sun roof or anything. Just the roof (cut it off easy with a sawzall).
Low roof low price please! Vancouver area. More than happy to come cut it (have generator and sawzall waiting!
Cheers

This guy might be willing to part out with a price like that unless it's cheap because he wants a really quick sale!? Could be good for spare parts as well if you want to part it out and make some extra cash too...

I know the one you speak of. Too nice to cut off the roof (wood is fine) just thought there might be a parted out one.

Mardy at Amazing Auto has a few L300 shells. Not sure if he has a low roof. Ring him up.
Best way to take off the whole skin is to use a spot weld drill tap (tool bit) and drill out all the spot welds on the rain gutter. Then the whole rood skin will come off and you can transplant it on another Delica in the reverse fashion (spot weld the drilled out spot welds on the donor skin).
Did this on a westy to syncro.

I want the rain gutter up. I just want to use it as a jig to fit the fibreglass roof too.

Whoops, there should have been a link associated with that
Wood over fiberglass? I think a carbon fiber roof would look pretty slick and be light weight...

Re: Low Roof L300 Delica Roof Only!
no the wood will be just to make a Jig the same size as the roof on the van so when I cut down the fibreglass I can fab it up (lower then on my van) and glass the sections back together.
We can make the section I need out of wood, just thought if I got a roof I could save a few hours work. No one else is going to need the roof so it will just end up crushed I figure on any parts van.
Cheers

Oh, that makes more sense. I thought you had some interesting idea for a wooden roof. Log cabin perhaps!? Top gear did it in "quaint my ride"
