Identify this mystery box and connector

Post by Fishtank »

Hey guys,

I was cleaning my van and removing several meters of wiring and multiple electronics items that the previous Japanese owner graciously installed, when I came across this box and connector under the drivers seat. Can anyone tell me what it is and if this connector needs to be plugged in somewhere?

PS this is looking fwd from the back seat floor.

Under the driver seat of my van is an amp for the sound system. Useless I think when you remove the stereo.

It's a warp device. Use with extreme caution!

Agree with After Oil. Jay says its remote door lock, he has seen this on several delii. Probably they were factory installed (judging by the plugs). None of them work now (they all appear to have not been used for some years) and NO you will NOT find a remote here that works on them. Christine.

Okay, now how can that be when it's been identified in Artacoma's thread here http://www.delica.ca/forum/another-myst ... 11073.html and his is "attached to the inside of the driver side rear panel next to the speaker"? :?:

This seems like a trend, when someone posts a picture of an unknown electrical box, the default answer is a keyless entry controller? :-D

the antenna plug gives it away: they're both keyless remotes. i know for sure that my keyless remote receiver is under the seat. and the antenna goes up the pillar behind the door and over the door in the door seal.. although i have an L300

Are there any metal cooling fins on it? Similar to one of teh posters above that is where my factory stereo amplifier is located on my L400. If you have an aftermarket stereo it would be disconnected and not doing anything.
