That is the coolest thing... and imagine, its an electric/deisel... so you could turn it into an electric/diesel/WVO/propane injection... a four fueled system, how wild! Anyhow, sign me up for one... oh wait, $70,000. But it is the coolest thing. I'd wait for a 4wd model.
Josh- it could be 4wd, some hybrid designs have electric motors on the rear and combustion power on the front, or the other way around to avoid having to interconnect the two, however I think the Delica would make an excellent diesel-hybrid... the engine is already "right-sized" for fuel economy and because of that it could use the extra torque of a big electric motor between the transmission and transfer case for hills and passing, plus with it's weight you'd get a lot of regen going down hills and save on brake wear. There's already companies converting small diesel delivery trucks into hybrids, so a lot of that technology could be applied to a Delica.
